A living will or advance care directive is a legal document which allows you to specify which medical measures you would like or would refuse in the event of unconsciousness or serious illness. For instance, you can indicate whether you would prefer to be placed on artificial respiration or receive nutrition support. Your living will is legally binding on doctors and relatives, ensuring that your wishes are carried out. We can help you to clearly formulate your wishes.
Whether you are in favour of organ donation or not, it is important that you make a decision and record it. This will provide clarity and reassurance for your relatives. You can do this in your Patient Decree or by filling in an organ donor card.
